Picture Dump aka Update

Here we go!  iPhone picture dump!!  Ann is now 5 years old... doesn't think I'm cool now... holds up her finger and says "back in a minute" and when I try to follow she spins around and holds up her hand again and says "no, Mommy!!".... the list goes on and on.

She's cute though and gives really good smooches and tells me she is sorry after she throws a fit and offers me a lot of items from the pantry by saying "Want some Mommy?" and I'll reply "No thank you baby!" and she will ask "Sure, Mommy?" and I'll say "Yes, I'm sure!" and she then hands it to me.  I need a new reply to whether I am sure or not... because the "yes" is throwing her off.

This has become our Sunday afternoon thing.  We bake cookies or some other yummy item for the week!  She loves to help and isn't bad at whisking... This child will know how to make a pie crust from scratch and roll it out by Christmas!  I'm determined.

This is Ann before daycare one day.  We were taking a picture to send to her Aunt Sarah and I then accuse her of putting her shoes on the wrong feet only to be corrected by John from another room that I am the one who put her shoes on her that morning.  Thank you sweetie!!  Sorry, Ann.  Mommy has lost a significant amount of her brain and sanity over the past 8 months.  Don't worry, it should come back by the time you go to college.

A little embarrassed to post this picture, mainly because of the picture John decided to hang on the left wall himself.  The scale, the height, the everything... so good, right?? No.  But the feature here is the curtains!!  Finally I have beautiful green stripe silk curtain panels for the dining room!!  It only took 6 months to get those awful things the former owner had up down and these in place.  Goes to show what whining will get you.... nothing.  John does not respond to whining.  Noted.

Ann's top knot.... I couldn't stop smooching her and telling her how adorable she looks!  She lets her teachers fix her hair and screams bloody murder when I try to do a once over with a hairbrush.  They must feel sorry for her everyday because she typically comes home with a cute hairdo.

Ann and I at Hugo's before the first Razorback football game!!  I realized during the game that I was indeed the only pregnant female in the entire stadium and maybe the 99 degree, 3:00 pm start was the cause of this phenomenon.  That also explains the concerned and confused looks I received as well as the judging eyes.  Thanks people!!  Fully aware of how pregnant I am, how hot it is and how stupid it is for me to be at this football game.  That is why I spent the majority of the second quarter in the indoor club stuffing my face only to leave at halftime.

We have had a lot of fun this summer and could not enjoy this age with Ann more!!  I love love LOVE the toddler age and wish time would stand still so we could enjoy more time with just this sweet little girl.  We are excited about the arrival of her brother or sister but also look at this time as special and very valuable since it is the last time Ann will truly have our sole attention.  Poor baby has no idea what is going to hit her this fall.  I know how she is about to feel... it happened to me the summer of 1988...

Another fun tidbit about our child since that is all I have going on in my life now... sort of.  She has started calling John "Daddy Grace".  I realize that Grace is an extremely popular middle name for girls and maybe a boy or two?  Her using it is hilarious and causes John to correct her and explain what his middle name actually is... he is also working with her on what HER middle name is and it is not Grace.  I've been called Mommy Grace a handful of times but the Daddy Grace is sticking and I may or may not be encouraging it.  The best is when she is upstairs, hears him downstairs and yells "Daddy GRACE!!!!!!".  This is represented in the video below.  Hopefully this works since I have never uploaded a video before.  Also this is a clip of a longer video that we sent to Sarah.  We are required by contract to send her videos talking about how much we love and miss her...
