Happy Birthday Ann Teeter!!!

This little girl is two years old today!!!  It is hard to believe yet I cannot remember what our family life consisted of prior to her being here.  That is universal I think with parents and represents to me the amazing gift of children and how it truly establishes another level of existing and meaning of why we are here.  I experience such emotional roller coasters every single day and work on my own self so that I can be better mother and wife because of this little girl.  

She is no longer a baby and is growing up so well despite us learning through her how to be parents!  She is loving, polite, generous, smart(er than her own good), inquisitive, adventurous, strong willed, loves the outdoors and at the base of it all is reminding us how wonderful the little things are and allowing us to re-experience the joys and innocence of childhood through her.  It is a reminder that all adults need and I remind myself daily to enjoy them with her and go back to the basics of what is important in our lives.  I also remind myself that what I deem as challenges in her personality at this age will only be her strengths in adulthood.  She will be a strong woman who knows what she wants and goes about achieving it with love, joy and a generous spirit.  I can't wait for her to experience the joys of having a sibling and hope that she will recognize how special it is and form the relationship that I have with my sister.  Here are some of my favorite pictures of our birthday girl!!

Newborn session... it was a struggle but it was indeed an early indication that Ann will not easily participate in a task that she does not completely agree with.  

I loved this age!!  This was about 8 months old.

Ann's favorite place to be is outside.  I'm so glad she loves the outdoors as much as John and I.  The appreciation is already in her!  

My most recent picture with Ann besides her birthday party yesterday.  She loved the game and is not quite sure about the entire stadium participating in the hog call but that isn't anything my lap can't cure!  

Baby girl, we are so grateful to celebrate two years with you and although we look back at these two years with some semblance of sadness that they are gone we are so blessed to say you are two years old and look forward to the person you become over this next year.  We all have a lot to learn and a lot of adjustments to make with this new family member arriving soon but with the joy you bring we can't help but know that it will be nothing short of exciting!!
