Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

I hope that everyone has had a relaxing and fulfilling Christmas!!  We enjoyed ours and despite some adjustments in our plans we enjoyed a lot of family time and especially enjoyed Christmas through the eyes of Ann.  She is still too young to understand that it is Jesus' birthday and Santa but she sensed the excitement and was a joy during all of the traveling.  We asked a lot of her in regards to adjusting her normal to be a normal with lots of people, kids, car time and sleeping in multiple beds but she was great!!  I think I was less adjusted than she was.

I do not have a picture of Ann in her Christmas outfit but this is what she wore Saturday to open presents at my parents house!  It was quite warm before the big winter weather came in so do not be alarmed by her bare Ann legs.  I have to see them every chance I get and those legs with ruffly socks are irresistible!!

Here is the chaos that I love so much at John's house!!

Peyton did not want to  participate in the picture and Ann was concerned but I'd say this was the best out of the bunch I took!!  Who wants a perfectly posed family pic anyways?  Not us!!

Here is last year's picture... everyone is so much taller!!  I can't handle the growing up... I need everyone to stay small forever.  Guess we need to have more kids.  Gear up Laura, Nancy and Amy!!  I  can't do it all on my own!

One thing has weighed heavy on me throughout these past couple of weeks and I invite you to join us in prayer for a precious family.  Here is the link to my friend Katie's blog where she shares some insight as to what they are going through and also links to the Caring Bridge site where you can follow updates Sarah Thomas Henry's condition.  My heart is aching for the children especially.  I have been inspired by Katie's strength and I strive to be a better mother to Ann and as faithful and unselfish as Katie is.  Please keep them in your prayers specifically.
