Before the New Year

Well, we are still here and have not entered the witness protection program as indicated by my internet silence.  Unless you follow me on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram... or see me in person regularly or realize that we are low profile and have no contact with the Mexican Cartel therefore we would not need to enter a government program such as that...

I'll just throw up some pictures from the past few months because honestly I don't think anyone wants a complete rundown of our lives since approximately Ann's birthday and I clearly don't have time to draft something so incredibly riveting.

We've been super busy.  Or it seems like we have.  When I try and state what has kept us so busy all I can recall are normal days so I guess our new normal lives are super busy and busy will be elevated to a whole new level because you can't call normal day to day activities "busy", right?  Oh gosh, my hands started sweating just thinking of what that would mean.

Ann turned ONE!! (she was the leader of her own circus... life... I'm so clever)

She was actually quite organized and tidy while eating the cake.  Maybe because I took it away when she started flinging it.  OCD

Now that I'm posting birthday pics I really do want to do a post just on her birthday.  I will, I'll do it.  Before she turns two years old.

Struttin' her stuff as a peacock.  I do not have pictures of Ann in her entire Halloween costume... she had a hat, that was a peacock head... it was hilarious... but not tolerated.

Too biz for pics.  Understandable, life is short for birds.

Ann does smile!  I feel like most pictures I share she is straight faced super serious baby.  Which she is, super serious... about having fun.  Her Daddy will rarely smile in pictures as well.  Must be genetic.

Ann and her Pop are BBF (Best Buds Forever)  No seriously, she prefers him over any other human.  I need to keep that in mind when she is asking for a car and an ivy league education...

I can do it MYSELF!!  Tears her hand away... geez.  Got it.

Drives fast like her Momma

Attempt at a family picture.  A rare attempt.  Fail.

My bestest friend and sister and her husband Brady... and their two children.  I can totally tell what their children will look like.  Their human children.

My outdoorsmanbaby?  She is like our dogs... you can't say "outside" without following through.

Please pray for the families and children that are affected in any way, directly...indirectly... by the horrific shooting (massacre in my eyes) this morning in Connecticut.  I look back at what I just put together and it's moments with my child these past couple of months that some parents will never have an opportunity to experience with their children.  My heart and gut is aching for these families and all I know to do is pray.  Pray for the survivors, for the deceased and for everyone in this world who has any kind of tendency towards violence such as this.  It is unexplainable and in no way will it ever be understood.  Pray for the troubled... they need our prayers and God's grace and peace more than anyone else.
