Week Recap

I'm not quite sure who cares besides my sister, my Mom and possibly my fur baby Tara (actually if I'm honest with myself she could care less) but here is a small recap of some observances and experiences in the past week:

- I went on a bachelorette, my sister's, while pregnant.  I went to a bar and a night club with a baby bump... in Dallas.  I had a spray tan, hair extensions and a baby bump.  In a bar.  A bar.  Just sayin...

- This is what I ate last Friday:  donuts, hot fries, chocolate milk, peanut m&m's, root beer, protein bar (to keep it healthy), enchiladas and a rasberry lemonade.  Don't judge me.

- Can I clarify something from above?  I did not get out on the dance floor with a baby bump at either place...

- I can officially say that I have kept one bag of cadbury eggs in our house for 2 weeks now and there are still some left!  Hello self control.

- I've only cried twice this week and one time was because John accidentally burned a turtle to death while burning leaves in our creek.

- Something I didn't share that I found out last week is that Tara is very bad when she is boarded at the vet's office.  She is such a smart fur baby and knows how to unlock anything that doesn't require a key.  Well APPARENTLY she lets herself out of her kennel and then runs up and down the aisle and lets all of the OTHER dogs out of their kennels as well.  She then enters their kennels and eats all of their food and plays in their water bowls while the other dogs run around the vets office and have a good time.  Bernie on the other hand does not leave his kennel and probably does not claim her as his fur sister.  The vet told me this with a smile on his face so I'm going to assume that he doesn't mind?  So I told him that we have to rope shut Tara's kennel and pen to keep her from unlocking it and he said they put a new lock on hers but she can still reach the neighboring dogs locks and lets them out from inside her own kennel.  I think that is talent and that you can't hold back talent like that.  She does this everytime she is there and no one has told me... I've been dropping her off there for 3 years now.

- Baby is strong enough now for me to feel him/her move and I've figured out that Baby does not like the pressure of my seatbelt or when I wear my cute black pencil pants that I squeeze into 2 times a week for work.  When I'm sitting down I can literally feel Baby pushing back on the pressure... demanding little Baby!!  I'm kind of worried about Baby's personality now because if he/she is this demanding at this age, or this cramped, Baby is going to have to calm down b/c he/she has a good 4 1/2 months left in there and I personally do not put up with demands very well.  Suggestions or polite questions are better received than the demanding attitude Baby is already expressing... we will have to have a talk.

- Work has been a test of my patience this week.  I help lease and manage, with only one other person, right under a million square feet of commercial and retail space so that means a lot of Tenants, a lot of personalities and a lot complaints and demands.  Again with the demands!  I usually welcome questions and encourage them but this one put me over the edge:  One of our unnamed Tenants complained that we were mowing the grass (we have extensive landscaping and spend a lot of time and money to maintain and keep it wonderful) and while our landscapers were mowing they got grass clippings on her white car.  When she went home that night the grass clippings had stuck to her car and she had to wash it.  She wanted our owners to reimburse her for the money she spent on the car wash.  I had to refrain from responding to her the way I would normally.... first of all she could have wiped it off with a wet soapy dishrag from her kitchen... second she could have manually washed her car because the weather has been gorgeous and she could probably use the sunshine and exercise... third how much did her carwash actually cost?  At most $10.00?  No.  We will not reimburse someone to wash their car because they parked in front of our landscape crew, while they were actually mowing.  She even stated that. Annnnnnyways...

- I was telling John this week how much Baby is moving and he said "it's because a storm is moving in".  Hmm, John just compared his Baby's instincts to those of a wild animal.  I had to explain to him that our Baby will not have the same instincts that a wild animal will have, for example the ability to sense weather moving in and prepare accordingly.  We have a lot to learn as parents.

- I have the best Mom and Mother in Law anyone could ever ask for!!  They have both been shopping and I now have a cute, socially acceptable maternity wardrobe and can go out in public!!  It's so much more fun getting up in the mornings and planning my outfit for the day.  SO much better!  A lot of the things I can wear until I'm too big to leave the house and some of the things will have to come back out after Baby is born and I'm still too big to wear my normal clothes... I'm not unrealistic in thinking I'll immediately be back in my former clothes.  I'm sure you are all thinking the same thing after seeing what I've been eating lately.

- I just licked donut icing off of my fingers... I pulled into my parking space at work, backed out and drove to Kristy Kreme.  Bye self control.

That's all for now!
