Lemon Pepper Chicken

Friends:  I made John dinner tonight!  A real home cooked meal.  He thought someone had stolen his pregnant wife and replaced her with the wife he originally married.  I assured him that I was indeed the same person.

Lemon Pepper Chicken - not healthy but easy prep and just a few ingredients.

- Chicken tenders or chicken breasts - however many you need.... I eyeballed a lot of this.  Sorry all of you measurement people.
- Lemon Pepper seasoning
- Lemon Juice (I used two good sized lemons)
- Worcestershire sauce (I splashed until it looked like I had gone overboard then stopped; helpful right?)
- 1/2 a stick of butter (this was perfect for two people)
- 5 green onions
- 4 ounces of baby bella mushrooms
- 4 ounces heavy cream (ahhh the nectar of the gods)

Here's what you do!

Put your chicken in a shallow dish.  I took a pic!  Lovely raw chicken...

Next juice your lemons - I would say it was 1/2 a cup of juice after two lemons.  Didn't measure but I like lemon.  A lot.  Pour it over your chicken.

Then add your lemon pepper and worcestershire and marinate for about an hour.  I only took a picture of the lemon pepper...

After your chicken is done marinating chop up some green onions and melt your butter in the skillet.

Add your chicken and brown on both sides.  About 10 minutes on each side.

Once your chicken is cooked through remove it to a plate and add your mushrooms.

Then throw in your green onions.  Make sure the skillet isn't too hot or you'll burn those sensitive little green onions and nothing tastes good burned except a marshmallow... these are not marshmallows.

Now for my favorite part with my favorite ingredient!  Whipping cream.  Add it, and let it heat up then turn off the heat and serve!  Taste test and add pepper if needed.  No salt needed, plenty in the marinade.

I served our plates, sat down at the table and realized I didn't take a picture of the final product... that was close.  Here it is!

Sorry about the picture quality, it doesn't look very appetizing at all but it was tasty.  I am a little too lazy to edit pictures right now.

Hope you enjoy!
