Midweek - Finally

Hi Wednesday, good to see you.  Finally arrived...

- Update to yesterday's post:  I do in fact have a picture of the fireplace and the lovely carpet in front of it.  It is not a terrible idea and the carpet is not actually ugly... but it's more traditional than the style we will be implementing and therefore must go... asap.

Who's that chubby baby??  Is that Ann?  Lawd... where did she go and who is this toddler whining at my feet?  (This picture was taken last June!!)  Anyway, you can see what's going on now and why it will not work with my stuff.  Also, fun fact!!  The fireplace mantle is an exact replica of one of the original mantles in the White House!  I love trivia... I also love that this house can go on the National Historic Register.  I'm not sure exactly why it qualifies because it is not that old but, BUT I was given that as an explanation as to why this bathroom has not been redone.  I feel kind of bad thinking they had poor taste but what else am I supposed to think??

Dunh, dunh, dunnnnnnnnnh

- Please take a minute to 1. visit my sister's blog and 2. visit the blog that is featuring Ann Potter Baking today!!  Ann Potter Baking is my sister Sarah's baking business that specializes in gorgeous decorated cookies that not only taste amazing but look amazing.  It's a talent I wasn't given but am lucky enough to have in the family therefore I think I'll get a discount for the rest of my life.  She also makes amazing cakes that can be a theme or just beautiful and tasty.  Sarah is so creative with flavors, decor and pretty much any aesthetic art in general so please consider Ann Potter Baking for your next event!!  She can ship anywhere and does with success... you will not receive a box of cookie crumbles.  Based on experience, and I'm not being bias...swear... every other decorated cookie I have ever eaten (and I've consumed a lot of cookies folks) has nowhere near met the level of taste and creativity that hers do.  Said it.  She's the best.  She also has an Etsy page if that's your thing.

I could post two thousand pictures of the cookies but here a few examples.  She will customize to your heart's desire!!

Razorback fun!!  The footballs are chocolate.  She'll also flavor the cookie dough to lemon or something else as yummy.

Circus theme birthday party.  She did some for Ann's and I'll go ahead and say they were extra special.  I'll have to post pictures of them later.

Superbowl this year!!  I am in love with the football stadium...

- Yesterday was John's birthday.  He likes to remind me that I am older than him.  Only by a few months but he acts like it is years... whatever makes him feel extra special.  I look at it as I am older, wiser, in charge... yadda yadda yadda.  So I guess, whatever makes ME feel extra special?

He's amazing and I truly could not have dreamed up a better husband and father to Ann.  I'm a much better person daily because of him in my life and hopefully I'm telling him this often!

This picture is our little family a year ago yesterday!!  We baptized Ann on John's birthday last year and had a fun celebration with family.  I cannot believe it's been a year and also cannot believe I am wearing a spring outfit in this picture.  It snowed here yesterday... New goals after seeing this picture is grow my hair back out, add some blonde next time around and put down this damn bag of Easter candy because I was skinnier 5 months post baby than I am now....?  So cliche; skinnier, blonder and longer.  It works doesn't it?

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday and that it isn't snowing where you are and you haven't eaten your daily allowance of calories already.  I'll be honest, exceeded your daily allowance of calories.
