Campaign Nightstand

We do not officially have a new house yet but who am I to pass up great finds while antiquing not knowing where they will go?  This is why John is getting "me" a storage room.  Knowing I have a safe place, out of his way, to put my fun finds is probably dangerous and he doesn't realize what he is allowing by providing this.

Mom, Ann and I had the best time yesterday and I could have completely furnished and decorated our future sun porch with items I found yesterday but did not buy (trying to not jinx this house).  So, I settled on one nightstand in one of my favorite furniture styles.  John already stuck it in a corner of our garage with it's "back" to me so I couldn't take a picture to show you a before.  My plan is to sand off the nice finish already on it (the seller took some time to paint it black and distress it a bit but distressed is not the look I want) and paint it a high gloss white or fun color.  Here is my inspiration.

The piece above is almost identicle in size and look to mine.  I will need to add the corner brackets though.  Those are easily purchased online or at your local hardware store.

Who doesn't love a bold green??  I'm tempted... it depends on which room I use it in.  And I already own those lamps.... hmm.

Safe to say my sister would choose this color.  Not sure I can get John to agree to a magenta nightstand.

This color though, could be unexpected in a conservative way.

Or I could just go with the white my instincts tell me I would be most happy with.

Too bad they didn't have a pair or I would recreate the green wonderfulness above and stick it at the top of the entry stairs.  (future house reference... I should stop decorating something we don't own yet, right?)
