Ann has become such a little person in the past month!! I am loving loving LOVING this "age" and I'm being less clingy to the newborn stage that I never wanted to end. I seriously had a few weepy moments that Ann was no longer a newborn and that she couldn't wear her newborn clothes and I've even had a hard time putting Ann in larger socks because her newborn socks were cutting into her chubby legs. I didn't want those days to be gone!! (FYI I have a very hard time with change...obviously) I will go ahead and share that I haven't put away her clothes that she has outgrown yet because I can't bear the thought that they will no longer be in her drawers or closet and I have a hard time grasping that she will never wear them again. As in never. Ever. Not next season but never. Ahhhhh I need another baby girl!!! This is why John probably wants to escape sometimes. I'm very unreasonable.
Well back to this baby girl before I start planning on the next one (is this what happened to the Dugger's?). Here are some pictures of her in the past couple weeks. Her hair obviously isn't going anywhere, seems to be lightening and has some curl when it's wet. She has blond eyebrows and eyelashes so who knows what color hair she will end up having! It's almost long enough to do a pony-tail on top of her head and when that happens well that's just another way to accessorize! Apparently the only thing Ann and I will have in common is our style because she is looking more and more like John everyday... I don't mind. Today Ann wore a "fur" vest to girls lunch and the elderly ladies next to us said she looked "just beautiful in her mink". Ha... baby girl has the besssssst taste....
Ann's feet are her favorite entertainment right now.
Sweet smile... she has a hard time keeping her eyes open when smiling. It's a huge full face grin with eyes squinted shut and her head pulled back so all the chins are visible!
My serious little girl
Relaxing on the couch with Daddy
This past weekend Ann and I stayed in Russellville so Ann could get some time with John's parents and it was the perfect weekend. A much needed relaxing time to help recover from the cold both Ann and I have courtesy of her Aunt Sarah... shout out to Sarah!! (I'll get you back). We spent a ton of time cuddling, playing on the floor and snuggling her Meemaw (spelling anyone?). Milton escaped to the cabin with the rest of the men for duck hunting and left us girls to fend for ourselves. We managed.
This coming weekend Ann and I are making our first road trip alone to Oxford to visit my favorite Mississippi girls and I cannot WAIT for them to meet Ann! Ann will also be meeting her future husband for the first time and hopefully he will make a good impression :). I must make an effort to take a lot of pictures. I've been making an extra effort to take pictures with my actual camera instead of phone because the phone pictures are such poor quality and quite the lazy approach to documenting my child's babyness. I can get my lazy butt up and grab a real camera!
I hope everyone is enjoying this amazing spring weather!! Oh wait... it is still winter. I'm pretending it is spring especially since my daffodils are coming up and I have a spray tan.
