I'm sharing two things that I love and think you probably will too.  You probably already know and use these items but if not they are worth the tiny investment.... can makeup be considered an investment?  I feel like if I use the word "investment" it is easier to justify.  I think makeup is an investment in your face, which is a very very important thing to invest in and is the first thing you present to your loved ones and the rest of the world each and every day.  Therefore why shouldn't we splurge a little on nice makeup rather than penny pinch on things you are applying to your precious face?  (This is something I have explained to John)  I'm acting like these are two expensive things...they are not.  They are just more costly than your Cover Girl makeup on clearance at Walmart... I am not judging the brands that Walmart carries either... don't get your feelings hurt.

First item is one Sarah, my best and only sister, introduced me to.  I love it!!  Stay Don't Stray by Benefit.  It's a few things... concealer, primer, lightener, face perfector, miracle worker...  and I use it every single day.  I'm not sure the order you are supposed to apply it in but I put it on first after I have put my daily sunscreen on... the sunscreen that everyone makes you wear now because the sun is the devil.  (I add self tanner next... I'm sure that's healthy for my face).  A little goes a very long way, like a long way, like don't do a full squirt, like it will take you a few frustrating times before you actually believe me.  I put it on my eyelids, around my eyes, all over my nose, on my chin and anywhere else I see that needs to be neutralized!  It mattes everything up, acts like a great concealer and makes everything else I put on my face stick.  You can probably get away without your regular concealer but I cannot put makeup on in moderation because I am from the South therefore I put concealer on top of it then a pressed powder foundation.  And then I look with satisfaction because my face is perfectly one color without the natural flush that I will then falsly apply after...

Next up on the list is a lipgloss that I have used for a couple of years now and always tend to lose, then buy it again and then find the dang lost one in another purse or one of John's blazer pockets.  If you know me you know I am not one for a bold lip.  I like nude or almost nude lip colors on me and think this is the perfect nude gloss.  It's not sheer like most glosses, you can apply it without a base color on and it still looks finished and polished.  I'm blonde but my very brunette sister with the same skin tone as me can wear it and it looks fabulous on her too!  She liked it so much she went a bought one (or maybe stole one I had and then bought one for herself) and it looks great on her.  This is by LORAC and retails around $22 I think.  I only buy this color but I'm sure their other colors are just as wonderful. Light Nuetral Beige.

Let me know if you have a product that you can't "live" without!  I love finding new things that make a difference!

  1. I definitely stole it. Found it in a purse you had borrowed and never thought twice about it. I'm glad you love me and don't mind :)
