My sister Sarah and some very special friends hosted the sweetest shower for Baby Ann a couple of weeks ago. I loved every single detail and was overwhelmed by the thought put into everything. I am so blessed to have these girls in my life and look forward to many more baby showers for all of us!!
They had the shower at Sarah and Brady's wonderful home. Sarah has the best taste and came up with the cutest theme: Owls and Elephants. I like both, a lot. Ann will one day ask me why she was clothed in so many outfits with owls and elephants.... and I'll tell her "Because I had full control over your wardrobe at that point in your life."
Here are some pictures of the wonderful food and details. A few pics of me opening gifts which is just about the most awkward thing you can do in front of a group... I need to work on my facial expressions.
Pictures of the beautiful cookies Sarah made and decorated. Side note: She is now selling her cookies, just contact her with your event and theme and she will get busy!

Fabulous Drinks, one with alcohol for the non mammas and a whole pitcher of non-alcohol for me! Sarah also had a copper bucket full of flavored sodas that I did not get a picture of. I drank three blood orange sodas... I did not consume enough sugar at this shower.
These next pictures are a little blurry and up close. A friend used my camera and I still had my zoom lens on it and it wasn't really adjusted for all of my spastic movement. Also, I now know that I should not wear my eye makeup that way. Could I use a little more really light shadow?? Do your eye makeup like Sarah's and not like mine. Also, please do not judge me by my facial expressions or fat arms. Everything will hopefully be back to normal in October, except my face of course. I'm stuck with it. Unless.... just kidding, John would never agree to plastic surgery. Actually let me share a story with you. "John, what would you think if I got a tiny nose job?". "I would divorce you." Wow, not going to get any work done on my face...

Excited about the most adorable headbands Candi made for Ann... like nothing else will go on this punkin's head but Candi's headbands.
|
Obviously excited about every. single. thing.

Ann's most favorite Aunt Ginger, Ginger will teach her and me everything we need to know about babies.

Poor Cheryl, she didn't have a lot to work with on getting a good picture

And, here comes the diaper bag. I am so excited about it...

Now I'm sure everyone was thinking "Put the bag down, let's move on"
There were so many cute details of the party I did not get pictures of. They made a wonderful banner with Ann's name on it that I'll hang above her crib in the nursery. I'll post a picture of it another time. Everything was perfect and I can't wait for Ann to use all of her precious things!
You will be the cutest Mom there ever was! And stylish ;)
