- We officially live in our new house. New to us... not new construction. Needs a lot of updating new.
- We officially have no furniture. Wait, we have a breakfast table and chairs, dining table and chairs, bed, dresser and Ann's room is furnished. Everywhere else is blank. What did we sit on in the old house??? Oh yeah... the couch that will not fit into the house. Not kidding. It's gracing our garage right now asking critters to come live in it.
- We cannot put furniture, if we were to come across some, into our upstairs area until all of the carpet is replaced. We walked in Friday night and cringed at the site of the naked white carpet. No bueno. Getting a wooly Berber installed next week.
- Our kitchen is getting a paint lift. Kind of like a face lift but with paint. Then comes to deciding whether to replace counters now... wait a year and see if we want to gut the kitchen... and so on. Stainless or quartz for the counter tops ya'll??
- Furniture: Where do people buy quality furniture?! I mean, hardwood framed, down filled cushions, worth getting reupholstered kind of furniture. No Pottery Barn, no Bernhardt, no, no and more no. I have two couches in John's decision making folder and both are very different from the other. Send a couple prayers he makes a dang decision soon.
- I promised John a recliner (a place for him to park not next to me) and surprisingly this is what John specifically requested! (I had no idea he even knew such a fine piece of furniture existed)
This is your classic Eames Lounger. I can handle this and embrace it. I love the lines, they are comfortable, it adds a modern touch to the traditionalness of the house and by golly it meets the recliner criteria.
Does anyone have one of these??! Do you love it? Do share. I don't have to wait 10 weeks for it to ship either...
