So what I've got are some pictures of things that I've been around this past week. Mostly Halloween stuff that no one cares about now that it's past Halloween! Maybe you can pretend it's Thanksgiving stuff and apply yourselves in that way?
Here are some FABULOUS cookies my precious sister Sarah made for Halloween/My Birthday. Halloween birthday... jealous? Should be.
Look how fabulous these look! Notice the sparkles on the bats' wings.. who thinks of that? Sarah aka Martha does. Love the white owls too. They tasted great which is sometimes hard to find with an iced sugar cookie. Love the different sizes too. They display so much better being various sizes and look more interesting.
Next up is my Mom's hutch in the breakfast room. It turned out so cute!! Great rule of thumb is to group things all one color on display together. Notice how fun the kitchen color is and trim. It's a tractor green... Sometime I'll post pics of my parents' house. It was built in the late 1800's and is such a fun pallet of color and whimsy. It's easy for an older home to be stuffy and this one is definitely not stuffy!
Look how cute my presents are. We love to wrap presents and usually the outside is just as cute as the present itself! Get creative with the packaging. It's great to wrap gifts in a container the giftee (a word?) can use for something else! I'm definitely going to use the boxes which are a glossed something or other with craft paper glued on them in fabulous fall colors. The paint can is cute as can be too.
Tara.... lapping up beer. We were tailgating!! Beer is mostly water.. She's bigger than me, she can handle a few sips. She LOVED it! It's ok to give them a little bit... He accidently spilled some! Pretend it's water if it bothers you. It was just cute that she stuck her nose through there. Ya'll think her nose is cute too right? I'm sure this picture would be fab blown up in black and white on a wall.
Me and Mr. Husband cheering on the Hogs for homecoming!! I love football so much, if you know me you know I'm annoyingly up to speed on my Razorbacks and all of their doings. I also annoyingly stare you down at the game if you do not cheer as enthusiastically as me and cheer them on. They need our love and support and we should be so proud of them!! They've come a long way since the old Nutt was paid to leave the program. Good riddance and Go Hogs!! We should all say prayers for Greg Childs and a quick recovery. Hopefully this won't hurt his future in the NFL and he can be healthy and excite an NFL team's fans as much as he excites us every game!
And I'll leave you with a picture of our favorite black puppy dog!! She wishes her Mom would be more creative for Halloween. She wishes the trick or treaters would hurry up so that she could wiggle her bottom at the door and greet the cute kids. She wishes her Mom would get out of her FACE while she's relaxing on the kitchen floor. She wishes her Mom would take this DAMN bow off of her because she ain't no delicate lap dog that wears bows and yaps all day and if I'm going to put a bow on her she wishes I at least knew how to tie a pretty bow because what she has around her neck is embarrassing. I told her she is just too cute with a bow on and that she better get used to it because she's my baaaaby and I can put whatever I want on her.
Happy first week of November!! Maybe I'll make something worthy of posting (per my husband's standards) and you'll have a new dinner idea for next week.
I enjoyed the new post :) The cookies were adorable!!! And, King Ranch Chicken Casserole IS good! I think you should post whatever you think is what I call "blog worthy." hehe.
ReplyDeleteSee you in 2 weeks! Can't wait!
