Busy? Yes.
Quick Summary:
- Ann is 6 months old. I have an adult baby now. She loves food. She loves to bounce like a crazed baby. She loves dogs. She loves it when I saw Mama and doesn't really care when I say Daddy. She loves food. Her diapers are now smelly because of the food. She had the stomach virus and it didn't phase her one bit. She is teething. She can lick your face and call it a kiss. She thinks she can feed herself. She loves food.
- Stomach virus kicked our whole family's butt.
- I am still stalking houses. As in if you have had your house for sale in the past two years and it isn't even for sale anymore I know about it and may contact you to see if you're still interested in selling it. Aggressive realtor?
- We had the best weekend in Russellville at John's parent's house and I can't wait to go back. Ann loves being the center of attention and I love hanging out and not looking at my dirty house and laundry for an entire weekend.
- We are about to have the best weekend at the river house in Eureka Springs with friends... friends that don't mind hanging with the coolest baby in the world. Friends that like to eat and drink wine and don't mind planning their days around our next meal and like to sit outside around a fire or in a canoe. Yes, please. Smooorrrrrrrres here we come!! Again, I don't have to look at my dirty house and laundry for an entire weekend.
- I am obsessively reading about making your own baby food and can't wait to raid Ozark Natural Foods tomorrow for all of their organic fare for Ann's tummy. Can. Not. Wait. for her to taste sweet potatoes and declare them yummy despite her Daddy's opinion. I can't let her have marshmallows yet though... the joy she will find in those will be glorious one day. "Marshmallows in sweet potatoes mommy??? Who thought of that amazing combination and why does Daddy hate it so much?" "I don't know sweetie... Daddy also hates Gone With the Wind and chocolate.... some things in life are just mysteries".
- I have worked four days in a row this week and it has almost killed me. Maybe I am a little dramatic but I haven't worked more than two days in a row since early September and I cannot fathom ever going back to work full time and being away from Ann as much as I have this week. We literally get like 2 1/2 hours with her a day. Maybe 45 mins in the morning and then an hour and a half at night before she's down for bed. She won't know us and will wonder who these strange people are that are obsessively in her face and kissing her every other minute because they claim to miss her sooooo much and need some Ann attention!! That would creep me out too!
- Cinnamon Roll Zone bars are my new favorite breakfast. John bought them because he is obsessed with anything cinnamon roll flavored and I was super annoyed because that is NOT the flavor I requested but then I tried one and was so happy that I felt ashamed to tell John how much I liked it because I was mean when he came home with them, then I admitted it and he smiled and said "right! They're good right?!" and I smiled and said.... "yes sweetie, this time you made a good decision veering from my list but let's not do that again."
- I start my "take mass amounts of pictures with Ann and of Ann" tomorrow and I'm determined to not be lazy with the camera. My iphone is so skanky and the pictures on it are in turn skanky and Ann deserves better. Out comes the big camera and I'll be that person carrying it everywhere and people will think I'm trying to be all professional when in reality it is stuck on aperture priority setting and that's all. No adjustments, just the A and I have no idea what I'm doing but look cool!!
- I'll cease with the no pictures post next week and at least treat you to a Tara picture or an Ann picture because I know that is the only reason you are reading this... you love my dogs and Ann as much as I do! Or you accidentally clicked on my link and you were sucked in by my extremely exciting life...
